Dogs are thoroughly brushed, combed, nails done, and ears cleaned before the bath. Our basic shampoo is a wonderful
protein, aloe, lanolin shampoo designed to improve the health and shine of the coat while moisturizing the skin. We work
the shampoo evenly into the dog's coat and gently scrub with a soft brush, penetrating the coat to the skin, insuring absolute
cleanliness.
Professional grooming not only keeps your furry friend looking great but also
feeling great. The health of the outside of
your pet is just as important
as the inside. Through regular grooming we can notify you of health issues
you may not be
aware of such as skin diseases, ear infections, lumps and
bumps, tooth problems and so much more so that you may take
them to a veterinarian.
Keeping your pet clean and tangle free also helps keep the bugs off. It is
also much easier to find
that cheat grass, which is so abundant here! between
toes which are clipped and neat. Coats which are matted or full of
undercoat
cannot circulate air, which means that the dog cannot regulate body temperature
in heat or cold. This is very
dangerous in our summer and winter extremes.
Nails and ears are included as part of the whole grooming.
Anal glands are checked and expressed only if necessary.
We believe in a non
stressful approach, and will do our best to make it as pleasant an experience
for your pet as possible.
De-matting is done, only if it can be done without pain.
